My parents befriended a homeless war vet. They decided to give him one of their work SUV’s, complete with sleeping quarters. They included a bag of goodies and paid for the car to be insured and registered for one year. (They also hired him) -

6 years ago I was a homeless junkie with nothing to live for. Now four and a half years sober, just turned 30 last month, and I work at one of the correctional facilities I was locked up at. Recovery is possible. -

Spent the second half of 2020 homeless, NYE in a mental hospital, then caught covid the week I was released. Tonight is my first night in a proper bed in longer than I can remember, and I built it myself. -

At the age of 14, my daughter attempted to take her life. But through years of therapy and hard work she found her self worth. Today she graduated a year early, on the Dean’s List, with a double major. You bet your ass I’m smiling. -

Just signed the papers to make it official. I am divorced and free from a toxic relationship! My health, physical and mental, have skyrocketed since I left the relationship, and I have almost completely stop drinking. Today, I am starting a second chance. And I cannot wait for what’s to come. -

25 years ago today the picture on the left was taken. I was 13, homeless, and about to survive an overdose. Today I’m sober, a father of a special needs teenager, and just celebrated 20 years of marriage. Life can get better. -
